Good experience over all. Friendly people, clean place, good service. First time there. Didn't know the burgers were $2 sliders. Better if you know what to expect going in. Two recommendations: accept credit and offer free refills.
nice quiet place but busy sweet potato fries were off the hook, burgers reminded me of the old days of hot and now or white castle's. the owner came and asked personally if everything was up to par.
If you visit Lexington, this is a must stop. Love the burgers. Great place for a quick lunch.
Absolutely love this place, went as a kid on day trips with my mom and dad, recently went back with my sister. The burgers are truly delicious and the prices are unbeatable!
Great place for dinner and friendly conversation!! Burgers were great, service was excellent! The owner is a great guy that keeps the conversation going while he cooks your order. Coffee never went dry either. A GREAT place!!!
Service left a lot to be desired. In case they don't tell you 20x they don't do free refills on soda. And they don't have the ability to cook an egg after 11 so if you're on a diet and going in with family you get to watch them eat.
Was meeting someone in that area and hands down, was the choice place for a quick burger and fries.Very friendly atmosphere, with the owner and emoloyees engaging in a light fun conversation. Seating offers a few booths and several individual counter seats.Menu options are decent, for a small burger establishment. Prices affordable as well. If you plan to visit for the first time, make sure you bring cash. They accept cash only, as form of payment.Overall thought is that I will return again when in the area.
Best damn slider joint/breakfast diner this side of the Milky Way Galaxy.
Great atmosphere and great food!! Saved the day when the power went off on our vacation!!
Not only is the food great, the staff are all friendly and funny. If you're in the area, highly recommend you give them a try.
The burgers are awesome service was excellent
Very good burgers, highly recommend this place. It was our first time eating their. Bring cash they don't accept credit cards. "Cash only"
My wife and I love the hamburgers, which we find to always be excellent. The place is small but comfortable, and the prices are reasonable. I love that they based the business on a Popeye character too. Awesome place.
Wimpys was super fun! From what I hear, they're supposed to be mean to you, it's part of the charm. I wouldn't say they were mean tho. Probably better that way. The staff was actually very nice and prompt. Food was great. They say the burgers are small, but I thought they were perfect! Sweet potato fries where crinkled kind. Not too bad. Great place for lunch if you're in the neighborhood.
My son and I stopped in for breakfast and although we'd heard less than favorable comments about the food we still decided to give it a shot. We both ordered the special- $5.99, 2 eggs, sausage, chippers (potato), and toast. Our food was good and the service was very good. Upon cashing out, was told the "Special" is actually $8.50. IF YOU CHANGE PRICES, tell your customer up front!!
My favorite place to go with family. Owner has a outstanding personality. Lots fun. Great food
Best burgers in this part of the woods.I'd compare them to Tel-Way burgers!
The best hamburgers in town!
Good diner food, friendly service, and very affordable. I had a couple cheese burgers and a Coney dog.
If you like good grease sliders you will like this place. Fast and friendly service. They cook the food right where you can see them behind a counter.
We had breakfast and the service was great!
It's pretty much a burger place with "sliders" being the specialty. Okay place.
Awesome food and staff, at a great price!
This place is straight legendary. Delicious food at delectable prices. Really a family run operation as well! I suggest at least a double Burger to really whet your whistle
DO NOT EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. The owner is unbelievably rude, nasty, and down right inappropriate. He's horrible to his staff and even worse to his customers. He actually picked a fight with me as I was checking out because he didn't like how my friends and I chose to socialize. (I'd had the audacity to pull my phone out to show the people I was with a picture I'd taken earlier in the day, while my friend checked her bank balance via her phone.) The restaurant was actually better run by his staff when he wasn't there. The staff is lovely, very friendly and on top of their jobs. There are plenty of other, better, options in the area where you won't have to deal with this man. Trust me and go somewhere else.
Cute little place. Little hole in the wall local gem. We went over he weekend and stopped in for a burger. It was pretty busy, which is always a good sign. We got some burgers to go and enjoyed them by the water on the pier. All of the staff was friendly and they had some fun stories to tell while we waited.
Fun place to go. Simple but good.
The food was okay. I thought it was a little over priced though. The burgers are more like sliders and fish sandwich came without tarter sauce. The service was terrible! We had to wait 40 minutes for the food. They forgot about the french fries and we never got the sweet potato fries.
The sliders are the bomb!
Amazing. Has been since I was a kid.
Nice little traditional small town restaurant. I like to stop by on the weekends for breakfast or lunch while riding my motorcycle
Cool "old school" diner feel. Food is pretty good for how inexpensive it is.
Good food. Small little family place in downtown Lexington. Sweet potato fries were good!
Very poor service, over priced food under cooked small portions ( maybe a plus ) nothing looked like what was on the menu. The girl asked if we need time -walked two tables ahead turned around and came back for the order. If you want to uncarbonated beverage the choice is water. No condiments such as tartar sauce was ranch dressing. A small place to make you think that you're getting a larger portion. The fish and fries were nothing more than frozen food (cheap frozen food)The bathroom was nasty dirty toilet paper in the toilet. There is flies flying around the place doors had splatter marks all over it. Should have just walked out was nasty dirty toilet paper in the toilet. There's fly flying around the place doors had splatter marks all over it. Should have just walked out for sure won't ever be walking in there. I will include a couple photos. Only for strong stomachs. I won't even put one star here if I didn't have to.
Family owned and always a great place to visit!!! Food and service is always great!!! Great homemade soups and chillies too!
Great little burgers. Wish they accepted credit card though.
Good food, but the owner was a complete jerk and didn't seem to care who knew it. I don't know what his issue was, but while we were there he would berate his staff and pick fights with customers, all the time doing it with a self satisfied grin on his face like he was thoroughly enjoying himself. My nephew wanted to punch his lights out less than a minute after we walked in.
Such a great great place. They have REAL food. They have WONDERFUL service. They have a FANTASTIC sense of humor. Their Breakfast is the Best.
Awesome little burgers!
Family favorite to visit while camping at lakeport. Love the burgers!!!
A unique, friendly, uplifting atmosphere. Owner, cooks & servers are friendly, warm, responsive & sometimes comical. Food is DELICIOUS & has that home-cooked flavor. Not fancy - just good, simple , ' like- grandma-used-to-make' - type food. We visit Wimpy's every time we come to Ludington, from Lapeer County. My favorite choices are the hamburgers & cheeseburgers, and cottage fries. Next favorite is the breakfasts - this time we had the well-priced special - eggs, meat choice, potato choice, & toast. Coffee's good and they keep it hot with refills. Service is usually quick. Handy for carry-outs for the beach, too. Wimpy's is a 'don't miss' spot, in Lexington.
Wimpy is a hoot! The food was good. I just wish there was some vegetarian options other than a limited breakfast or a grilled cheese. My friend & ate there twice while we were in town. Good both times, just no real selection for non meat eaters. Wimpy's delightful demeanor made up for it. He even pointed out that the red one was ketchup & the yellow one mustard!
The Wahoo Burgers are just wonderful? Hawaiian fish burger, taste just like chicken! Would sit & eat these all the time, better for you than BEEF& so JUICY. Best with grilled onions.
pretty simple burger joint. good, cheap, and fun. theres some room for improvement, but I'm sure these guys will nail it.
Great little place, awesome food
Delicious, reasonably priced, old school diner style sliders. Cash only, ATM right inside. Seriously, these are good as hell. Ridiculously satisfying and crushable. Got home(1.5 hours away) and craving more.
Very good and tasty hamburgers and inexpensive for a resort area. $1.99 for a hamburger. It's on the small side but very good. We stopped there just because of the name and were pleasantly surprised.
The food was the usual fare. Great sliders. The owner is a tad obnoxious at times and I’m always happy when he’s not there. The mac n cheese bites are spectacular
Awesome burgers, we went mid day and they were super nice and accommodating.
Great food, good prices, great location
